Hello! I'm Dr. Amani Morra, and welcome to Dream Orthodontics. IN THE BEGINNING From an early age, I knew I'd be involved in a healthcare profession. A fortuitous student job in a dental lab at university opened my eyes to dentistry and I've never looked back. A passion for helping people improve their lives is what saw me through my dental degree with honours from Dalhousie University in Halifax in 2001 and then two years of practicing general dentistry in New Brunswick. I then decided to pursue orthodontic training at the University of Manitoba, and in 2006 earned a Master of Science degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics. In 2008, I founded Dream Orthodontics. The practice serves families in South Surrey, White Rock. You can read more about our story and commitment to the community here. MY TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY My treatment philosophy focuses on providing you with individualized, quality care. I'm a firm believer in light force mechanics, non-extraction treatment when possible, and a comprehensive diagnostic approach for children, adolescents, and adults. I also believe that orthodontics is both science and art together, requiring creative skill not just mechanical know-how with brackets and wires. Crafting not only perfect smiles but smiles perfectly suited to each patient is what energizes, challenges, and ultimately inspires me. HMMMM, WHAT ELSE? Continuing education and giving back to my profession are also essential parts of who I am. I belong to several dental and orthodontic associations. I've taught courses in dentistry and orthodontics at the University of Manitoba and UBC as well as authored numerous publications and presented at orthodontic conferences. I'm also a mom, with a husband and four beautiful children: Ava, Leila, Kamran and Parisa. We love our lifestyle on the west coast and are so glad we've set down roots in the community we serve.
