Dr. Cheung was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. He received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Immunology from the University of Toronto in 2003. He went on to attend Boston University, where he received his dental degree and graduating with summa cum laude honors. Following dental school, Dr. Cheung completed a residency in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the University of Connecticut and it was here where he developed an interest in orthodontics. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania where he completed his specialty training in Orthodontics. Dr. Cheung is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and recognized by the College of Dental Surgeons of BC as a licensed Certified Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics. He is also a member of the Canadian and American Associations of Orthodontists and actively participates in continuing education to keep up-to-date with the latest advancements. Dr. Cheung joined the Monarch Orthodontic Center in 2012. He shares many of the same orthodontic treatment philosophies as Dr. Kuah and Dr. Mawani. Dr. Cheung is friendly and attentive. He is committed to providing the best care and will ensure every visit to the office is a positive one. In his spare time, he enjoys trying new restaurants with his wife and remains active through cycling, hockey and snowboarding.
