My career as an orthodontist has given me the opportunity to get to know people of all ages and different backgrounds, as well as have a positive effect on their lives. Having had orthodontic treatment myself, I understand how having a great smile improves one's self-esteem and confidence. I understand that each patient has unique needs and goals. By focusing on these needs and goals, I am able to find the treatment approach that works best for each individual. I want my patients to finish treatment with an amazing smile, great oral health and having loved the process of getting there. Education and Continuing Education My Doctorate of Dental Medicine was awarded by McGill University. After graduation, I practiced as a general dentist in Montreal and Toronto. Then I returned to school to specialize in Orthodontics, at the University of Toronto. I am a certified specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics. I am also a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. I am currently a part-time faculty member at the University of British Columbia. As a clinical instructor, I teach in the graduate orthodontics programs. Teaching is one of my passions and I love being able to educate future practitioners while also caring for patients. Part of my commitment to my profession and my patients is to remain current on changes in the specialty. Orthodontics is constantly evolving with new materials, technologies and techniques being developed. By pursuing continuing education, I ensure my patients receive the best care for their smile needs.
